Night Garden: Resist and Flow

This contemplative art class invites you to explore a night garden as a visual and emotional landscape with watercolor and oil pastels.  Try one or all three resist techniques.   Perhaps choosing bright oil pastel colors on water color paper to pop through a darker wash of watercolors.  Or trying either a removable or non-removable mask to allow the paper to show through.  Watercolor pencils provide detail.  Build depth, mood and atmosphere imagining your favorite night of stargazing.  Or creating a new safe space in your minds eye that involves stargazing from a garden.  Focus on moonlight, foliage, blossoms and shadowed forms.
